Cal is a motivator more than an X's and O's guy, and he'll cost so much you might not be able to afford good assistants to figure out the X's and O's. On top of that, I think we at least owe Gentry the chance to fail with this much talent before firing him. The currently has a top 10 defense and Cousins can hopefully fill some of the holes in the offense.

I think there would be a host of coaches interested in the job. I do not think Calipari is necessary.

I don't get the Calipari obsession. He's a great recruiter but is he really that great of a coach. You'd think will all those guys he'd do better than just one championship.

Cause it worked out so well the last time we hired a coach with a losing record in the NBA.

You leave Uncle Al alone, he helped us tank our way to trading for Cousins.

No thanks. Cal is a tremendous recruiter but not a good in game coach. He thrives by simply being much better on talent alone than the opposition and plays in a shite SEC conference. Just like in football with Saban, his coaching strengths are more suited for the college game. Not the pros. Don't want him.
