I will say, from what I saw, Ryno was the one "leading" on the court. He was getting the guys to huddle up between whistles and giving directions.

people on here far under value ryno. i don't understand it, but they do. it's like they forgot he was our second leading minutes man and one of our top scorers last season.

i've said it before, and i'll say it again…ryno is, IMO, the second most important player on the team

Monty hates running, which is why we flew up and down the floor all night.

Point taken.

I really think Monty wants to run. If for no other reason than his half court offense generally sucks.

I'm not sure I'm ready to put him above an healthy, available Eric Gordon . . . like if I had to pick one to sit, I don't know . . . but having him on this team in the role he is in is clearly important. Being able to keep your foot on the gas offensively when Davis comes out while giving a different look to the other team at times is so important.

When the defense is thinking, it is less effective. When the defense is worried, it is less effective.

That goes for the bad guys and for the Pelicans. When the defense knows the offense can score, they worry less, play better, let the inevitable misses slide off ye olde braine. It is exhausting having to treat every basket opportunity like it means the season.

I thought 8-8 was a reasonable start before the season began, so I'd definitely take it now.
