Swap with Milwaukee enacted, not much but two spots higher is two spots higher

We can also get the 17th if we want to swap with Lakers this year. But most likely will be next year with hopes the Lakers could be worse.

We don’t have a swap with Lakers this year, it’s either take the pick outright or defer until next year

We will defer until next year though

lol pretty funny that our swap with the bucks conveyed. I would not have bet that before the season

2025 is a better draft.

Yeah the further down we go in this draft- the less impact players there are. We should have traded this pick at the deadline and its kind of ridiculous that Griff didn’t. I mean sure could have used an upgrade at center or some depth pieces.

I was begging to trade this pick and Nance for Gafford.

This is a shite draft and we can’t even get playing time for our rookie this year. There no chance Willie is playing whoever we draft here. Griff better trade it

We keep waiting for the Lakers to be worse every year.

And we’ve gotten the 4th and 8th picks from them. Not sure you have a strong point here.

I feel like the pels could get a guy like Devin carter from providence.

Has that dawg in him. Can shoot. Averages almost 9 rebounds a game at 6'3. Plays good defense.

What are your thoughts on ware from Indiana?

I really like him. He has a nice offensive game and seems to have a pretty decent bbiq. He isn't another Hayes.

Seems like someone will scoop him up before the pels pick.

I agree. He plays exactly like a 6'3 Jose, which would be like the perfect point guard for this team. If Jose was 5 inches taller he would solve so many of our problems

I like Ware’s traits what scares me is that it didn’t equate to winning. He was transfer to Indiana from Oregon and he improved but it didn’t really impact Indiana into a winning program. Now that could just be the crap around him and not Ware. But he tries to block everything and is foul prone. My honest opinion hes a bit of a project big, he could pan out but it’ll take time. Frankly, I dont know if this pelicans team has the patience with a project big. I know a big is a huge need but I rather go get a guy like Carter or Kolek and find our big in free agency or trade. The bigs I like will likely be gone at 21.

Ware also apparently has a shitty attitude and questionable effort. Jax 2.0

21 is not a bad spot for the Pelicans this year since there are quite a few upperclassmen prospects that fits the team's mold of players that could potentially contribute in year 1. If we don't reach for a big, there are several quality wings/guards at 21 with some nice skillsets/production/ability. Guys who are only undervalued due to their age and lesser ceiling.

If you know anything about Willie Green, you know hes not even coming close to drafting Edey.
