Basically pistons will be in nola before pelicans. I wonder how long Willie plays these guys tomorrow.

I think there’s an issue with the plane.

It’s not on Gayle. OKC isn’t a hub for the airline they use.

Tomorrow should be a BI game where he completely takes over but he may not even show up to the facility

Interesting. But thats such a detriment for a team man especially on a back to back. I honestly wouldn’t be upset if they mailed this game in due to these issues. I don’t want guys exhausted and then getting hurt.

It is certainly far from optimal; but these are young professional athletes in peak, physical condition (well maybe not Zion); let’s not blow this out of proportion.

They played an exhausting game tonight and are flying into nola tomorrow. Then they play a game couple hours later. I’m just letting you know if you push an exhausted human body, even a young one, to limits you’re asking for injuries.

They were supposed to have landed by now. So now they’re scrambling to find hotel accommodations to maybe get six hours of sleep. They won’t have normal shoot around and treatment in the morning because they’ll be flying back. It’s a condensed day to turn around and play another game.

No treatment or shootaround likely also means BI is out again. And guys like CJ and Zion who played heavy minutes probably need that treatment. Scheduled loss it is.

Again it’s not optimal by any stretch. Getting an older Warriors team shorthanded on a back to back should have favored us, but that didn’t work out so well.

Why would it mean that? If he was held out tonight as a precaution since we were on a back to back, why wouldn’t he play tomorrow?

Christ I hope the team doesn’t have this mindset.

They didn’t fly in on the same day. I don’t think you understand the difficulty in flying on the day you play, how that screws everything up. Not saying we can’t still win but don’t be surprised if Willie has low minutes for his main guys.

He wont get treatment or have shootaround. You do realize how important treatment is when you have a sore knee to begin with? I would be shocked if he played.

A lot of NBA teams have this thought especially in this situation which is completely not ideal and very difficult. They won’t say it but they’re not going to force their stars to play heavy minutes. Marathon not a sprint.

They’re not driving on a bus from OKC. They’re staying in a really nice hotel, flying first class for a one hour flight. And why can’t BI get treatment tomorrow?? Or get in shots during the day or before the game??

Absolutely. That’s generally how it is on back to backs. Obviously it would be better if the travel plans hadn’t gotten screwed, but you’re making way too big a deal about this. Willie should treat it just as he would a normal back to back. No heavy minutes for anyone.
