Half game over Phoenix. We need to win these next 3 because Phoenix has to play OKC, Denver and Boston in 3 of their next 4. This is the perfect time to put a little breathing room between the teams packed in the 5-7 spots.

i sorta want them to beat these 2... and if we take care of our side the street, that brings these teams within reach... if we can somehow get to #3, that would be amazing

Woah now calm down with the #3 seed talk lmao..

The random spurts of unrealistic optimism gets me ever time lololol. If we win on Tuesday watch- the top playoff seed will all of a sudden be talked about here like it’s on its way to happening..

We’re 6 games back of the 3 seed, there’s no chance of that happening unless we go on a 20-0 run to close the season, and we’re not going on a 20-0 run.

The best we can shoot for is 4th seed right now being 3 games behind the clippers.

4 seed is the ceiling. i think we can catch the clippers. not shot in catching the 3 seed. especially with how the nuggets have been playing

Everyone is looking up in the standings, but we are as close to the 4 seed (3.5 games) as we are to the 10 seed. And down the stretch, who do you think will get the calls? The Lakers and gsw climbing up from 9/10 to avoid the playin, or the pels who have gotten no help all year?

12-9 needs to be our worst case for the rest of the season IMO. I think that keeps us out of the play in, but maybe not. We have an awful stretch of 4 games left and a lot of time on the road.

Agreed. I’ll take the 6th seed and be thrilled about it. There isn’t nearly as much difference between the 3 and 6 seed as there is between the 6 and 7 because of the play in. I pretty much want the current 7-10 seeds to lose every game.

Can’t agree there. We have no chance of getting the 3rd spot, best possible would be 4th but I don’t care as long as it’s 6 or above. Our primary competition is Phoenix, Sacramento and Dallas so anytime those teams can lose helps us. We need to really go 14-7 over the last 21 to sow up that 6th spot IMO, 13-8 being the worst. Those other teams are too good to not make their own runs, we have to win the games we should win and then beat a couple good teams too. It won’t be easy but we are sitting in a good spot and we are definitely talented enough to get it done. Having to risk the play-in bullshite is just too risky.

Hopefully the standings end like:

Minny
Denver
Clippers
OKC
Pels
Suns
Dallas
GSW

Pels play OKC and beat them.
Then they play Minny.
Could go deep into the playoffs.

Clippers have a rough end of the season. Don't see them catching any of the top 3. I just want to avoid Denver in the first round. You have to play the good teams eventually, I'd just rather not have to deal with Jokic right off the bat.

And OKC will be a bear in the playoffs with the FTs that SGA shoots. Of the top 4 teams, I think Minny is the most vulnerable.

SGA wont get the calls he gets in the regular season.
Ref's let ticky tack calls go in the playoffs.

It would be nice if Zion or BI got any calls in the regular season.

I like your confidence, but I don’t see that at all. We are only 1 game out of the 7 and 2 games out of the 8th seed.

agreed we’re closer to the 10-seed lakers in the standings right now than we are the 4-seed Clippers even though we’re in 5th place. Rooting for the 5 or 6 seed is a reasonable goal and we get to avoid the play-in.

Catching the Clippers for the 4-seed is possible but pretty unlikely.
