if the Rockets are having a wholesale sell off... may as well browse the shelves and see if we can't get something good for 20 cents on the dollar

and I feel like maybe the Vasquez and Lopez for Asik trade could work. Get rid of Lin and replace him for vasquez ( or he can be a 6th man) and give them a back up center in Lopez ( who improved last year.)

This is interesting, was not expecting us to go after him. Im curious how much he is seeking.

If it's anything more than we can afford without moving Gordon then I say pass.

I would be down for this. Bullet point time:

-He's 23, but been in the league for 4 years

-Height is only 6-6, but has a 7 foot wingspan, meaning he can guard SFs

-Great with the ball in his hands, but an inconsistent shooter

-Great passer

-Freak athlete

-Will cost less than Iguodala

-Has upside still, and his best days are ahead of him after playing on a terrible SAC team

-I say go for it if the price is right

I would love getting Tyreke. This team is really going all out this offseason to get better. I cant wait to watch this team next year. Regardless of if we get Tyreke or not.

Getting Asik would mean we'd have no money to get a SF. I'd rather get a good SF with our remaining cap space than getting an overpriced Center. Especially when we have a guy who's giving us great value at Center. He's not starter material, but he's cheap and solid.

Okay. Imagine a small ball lineup of Jrue, EG, Evans, Aminu, Davis. You cannot get more athletic than that I'm sorry. You just cannot.

Bottom line, this guy gets to the rim. This team DESPERATELY needs players that can do that.

He's definitely a better offensive player but nowhere near the defensive player. He has the athleticism and wingspan to be a good defender, though, and factoring in age, I'm really leaning towards him now. Depends on if he can be a full-time SF.
