And I said … we said … I said, ‘Are you strong?’ They said, ‘I’m strong if you strong.’ I said, ‘We strong, then.’”

I think our biggest weakness right now is turnovers.

And I also think this could easily be cleaned up.

Zion gives 1-2 away a game with a sloppy handle.

Nance is good for one a game almost always on a really bad pass in transition or a moving pick.

Jonas seems to get at least one moving screen a game too.

It doesn’t help that refs love calling offensive fouls on us either.

As long as we can finish at the rim then I think our turnovers and 3pt % will go back up. Last game was just a little weird.

Yea. Without looking, it feels like it's been more of an issue more recently. I think we started the season really well.

1 good thing is we are forcing turnovers a lot too, at least offsets it a bit.

His handle is so bad. Doesn't really matter, but it's just bad.

Nance seems to get a shite ton as well.

yes its the live ball turnovers that kill the pels.
occasionally you'll hit a patch where the opponent starts raining 3's (last nite, BOS) but theres nothing you can do about that and the pels opponents are are actually well below league average in 3P% against them

it's the turnovers

Those numbers show that we are a damn good team. Not a fluke team or a lucky team, but a damn good team.

It’s kind of funny how he fumbles the ball around some but his hands are so fast and strong that he usually corrals it back before anyone steals it. It almost is a helpful bc defenders lose focus bc the ball is loose just to have him scoop it back up and blow past them.

Yea, Zach Lowe mentioned it about a week ago on how we're getting a bit lucky there so far getting a benefit from teams shooting a bad % on wide open 3s.

lol Zion's handles for a big are absolutely elite. That's part of what makes him so unstoppable. When you have the ball as much as he does and takes on as much of the offensive load as he does, AND that load comes almost entirely in the paint with the entire defense packing it in, you're bound to have a few turnovers. But, to say his handle is bad is just false.

Yea... We've been sloppy as of late but I pay more attention to Assists/Turnover ratio than just turnovers by itself. If we are moving the ball effectively and it's leading to scoring far more often than we are turning it over, I'm not too concerned about it.

You know, I thought that it's been getting better as the season has progressed?

I can see that, though last night would have been a bit of a relapse.

Refs do their homework too so if they know this they look for it, leading to it being called more. They need to work in making it happen less.

Zion Williamson ranks 6th amongst 68 players to defend 200 or more picks as the screener this season. Allowing 0.85 points per possession. He has also held opponents to 37.4% FG as the contesting defender. Two-way Zion.

It’s really not? It’s not near where it needs to be for him to get where he needs to be as a player. But you act like he’s fricking Kendrick Perkins out there dribbling

I wouldn’t go that far. They’re not bad but he can certainly improve. I honestly think it’s one of the biggest things he needs to work on in the offseason. If he can improve his handle over the next two seasons, through offseason work and part of it will come too from just handling it more in high pressure situations, then he will be even better
