The only real excuse Willie has is Zion not holding up his end of the deal by showing up to the season out of shape.
You can blame some of this on Ingram too for not changing his game, but that's also somewhat on Willie for not getting through to him.

Injuries? We’ve been really healthy
Inconsistent play? That’s part of coaching. Don’t be set in your rotations. Play the hot hand. Willie does this at times but mostly does not adjust.
Ball movement? Again, that’s coaching. If you’re standing around on offense or not doing the things required, you motivate your guys or get them to buy in.
I don’t love Willie as a coach but he’s what we have. Hes shown a little development this year. He doesn’t have the injury excuse and is producing decent results. With a better coach, I think we win five more games.
