LINK

So this year we have a protected top 5 pick. I thought we had a second rounder but I looked at a mock draft that said Minny gets our second round pick this year (mock draft from draft express)

I ended up stumbling upon the link at the top that shows all the conditions of our picks. If anything it's really interesting to take a look at the trades we made and how long the implications of these trades last.

We get the Spurs and the Clippers picks if they're outside the top 55.

It's the other way around. It implies the way it's structured that we maybe get SAS 2nd rounder too?

IDK. It's kind of confusing the way they word it.

I think we owe the spurs a pick.

That's how I read it too. The columns and their placement are what's throwing their setup off for me. It's hurting my head trying to figure this crap out. Does SAS get our pick from the Clippers then since that pick will be outside the top 55?

Yea that's correct. The Spurs are set to receive the Clippers' pick via New Orleans.

I used the way they worded the Jrue trade as like a baseline to figure out what they were talking about but yea confusing as heck

We turned Songalia and Craig Brackins into Jason Smith and Willie Green, which worked out OK for us.

I'm less sure WTF we were doing getting Mike James and Bonzi Wells in 2008, though.

So the Spurs receive the Clippers pick via New Orleans and then we give our second round pick to the Timberwolves

Get we get that right?

I guess that's not a terrible thing when you have SEVEN picks in this upcoming draft...did I read that right? Damn 76ers

Yes. Bower traded a then future 2nd as part of a deal for Songaila and Bobby Brown.
Demps traded an imaginary pick Bower got from the Clippers in a Bobby Brown salary dump for Curtis Jerrels.

I haven't checked specifically, but it seems we don't have a definite pick until somewhere around the time AD is retiring, right?
