Put simply, in roulette, would you rather put 50$ on the number 10 or $20 on red (yswidt?)? It's always the former unless you're super hard up for money (cap space), which we aren't. 99.9%

Seriously? Who the hell puts $50 on a single number? You would take 1/34 odds over 1/2 odds? I play colors and the thirds all the time. There is no harm in it.

If Eric Gordon plays well enough to raise his trade value significantly next year, you don't trade him

Why can't you trade him then? So once his value is high, you can't move him. That makes no sense. Using your logic, you can never move him. We are just stuck then..

Really dude? You don't see the difference in the comparison? In one scenario, you have $50 to gamble with. In the other, you have $20. You have a 1/38 chance to win $1750 in profit or a 9/19 chance to win $20 in profit.

My point exactly. If he lives up to the potential that Dell and Monty see in him, you don't trade that type of talent.

The only way I see EG10 getting traded is if he's a complete biatch and forces his way out by being a malcontent.

I really don't get the comparison. Throwing more money on a single number seems desperate and it's an unwise bet (not that either bet is that smart). I don't know anyone that plays roulette, that just lays $50 on a single number over and over. It's a horrible plan..

I have watched much greater players get traded before, so I'm not sure what you are basing that on. Team need, fit, payroll and a ton of other factors come in to play.
