Ryen Russillo of SVP and Russillo gave his thoughts on the firing. LINK

Also Chris Sheridan had an opposite take on the firing as well. LINK

And for all you Bourbon St Shot fans, here's Michael Pellissier's take this morning LINK

Screamin A Smith is the worst. Playing the race card again.

i wanted to punch golic in the face today. Greeney was saying that the organization needs to show their competency and hire and prove to anthony they have the right plan in place. Golic saying they shouldn't ask anthony who to hire but instead just have a discussion (total game changer than asking). Golic is a fricking moran.

Sheridan disagreed with the firing. Talked about the improvement and who will replace him.

Russillo said if he's not the future for the team than he has no problem with the firing. Also talked about his future with ESPN. It was well said.

Had a valid point AND gave a very lucid well thought out argument for Lionel Hollins keeping his job!! Wasn't screaming at all.

I feel bad for him because he's such a likable guy...OFF the court. But I'm happy for our team because I don't think he's coach we need to get to where we want to go.

If he were an a-hole, no one would feel sorry for him.

I saw on interviews that AD wasn't told until after the firing. The way he reacted AD wasn't happy at all. Will be interesting to see if he signs a contract on July. He may risk injury, play a year and walk.Endorsements could be off the charts to lure him to LA or Ny markets.

Actually, it's my understanding that while he may not have been told until after the decision was made, he (and others) were told before it was made public. That makes a difference. I also don't believe that the decision was made to fire Monty without some reason to believe that it wouldn't affect AD's extension.

He is under contract for the 2015/2016 season. The qualifying offer for 2016/2017 is $9.2M. The new deal would be starting at $24.97M. So, not only is he risking injury, he's leaving a very real $15.7M dollars on the table to do what you're talking about.

Bottom line, it isn't happening.
