But he did lose to the NOLA Hornets in his last game in the Hive.

Was there. It was like his farewell tour. Had a bit of a standing ovation at the end of the game (I remember he didn't shoot real well). It was odd because he didn't play a bunch of games in NOLA (I know about the Final Four when he was at UNC)...but, I guess it was just all around respect coming out there.

I was there too. Couple of rows from the Wizards bench after sneaking down to those seats from the $120 nose bleed seats I had. They showed a highlight/tribute video during some timeout late in the game. MJ was going at it with the coach about something and everyone else in the arena outside of those 2 people were watching the tribute video.
I remember Ewing and Oakley watching, as they appeared in the famous Knick dunk, Byron Russell watching as he made his appearance in the video. everyone was watching in awe, even though we saw all those dunks and plays hundreds of times. All the Wizards and Hornets players and coaches were watching it.
MJ had 20 points on 8 of 23 shooting.

Nice. I think I paid $40 for an upper, from some lady outside. There were NO tickets available anywhere (this was pre-stubhub and all), but I asked everyone that passed by anyway. She seemed like she was ready to eat the ticket, because she was scared of selling in public.

I too snuck down to the lower level, in the second half.

Yeah tickets were not easy to find for that game.
my seat was literally the top row of the arena right below one of the big air ducts. After going to the ATM to get more cash to buy that ticket I had $2 in my account. Still worth it even though I had no money to eat for the next few days.
