The most likely outcome (30.29%) is Golden State in 5, but they actually give the Pels more of a chance than I expected.

The Warriors should win their first-round series against New Orleans in five games, according to numberFire.com, a Web site that uses mathematical modeling to predict and analyze sports. Here are some pretty cool stats provided by the site:

New Orleans Pelicans win in 4: 0.95%

New Orleans Pelicans win in 5: 2.21%

New Orleans Pelicans win in 6: 5.42%

New Orleans Pelicans win in 7: 5%

New Orleans Pelicans win series: 13.58%

Right now the Pels are not an easy out for anybody. I believe they will make it a lot more difficult for Golden State than people think.

We have one of the best players on the planet with a fully healthy squad around him.

I realize it's really difficult to do, but if we can win one in Golden State, this series will be extremely interesting.

I have been telling people this at work all day. Let them get one in Oakland and this will go six games.

That ESPN Basketball Power Index is the same one that got down to like 7% chance of making the playoffs at one point. I like our chances.

I said 7% earlier this week, as well.

My logic was a 1/4 chance at each game. Pour in math, stir, 7%.
