Slow to adjust to switches
No disruption on passing lanes
Zion playing lazy defensively(mainly when guarding Conley)

I just don't know what it is but we always seem to forget how to do the little things when playing the Jazz.

For some odd reason we just can't get anything to drop against them. The missed dunk in the very beginning of the game was a prime example. The normal shots that Zion normally makes look easy aren't going either. I missed the 2nd half of the first and came back the end of the 2nd, so I don't know if the officiating is ad bad as it was last night.

Jazz play great team basketball, they shoot the face off of the ball, and they have nice size to contend w Zion and Jonas.

Ingram being out hurts, but I still think they are a tough matchup regardless.

Their big lineup is freaking huge. Pretty much shutdown point Zion when he blows by the first guy, the second is even bigger to block

Zion was anything but lazy.

Here were our issues and continue to be our issues:

- lack of rebounding without JV who is getting run off the court with teams that can get him off. When we go small, we don’t punish teams enough for keeping their bigs out there.

- lack of offense when Zion isn’t out there (getting BI back fixes this)

- perimeter D (WG has to find an answer for this)

- still don’t take or make enough 3s. As good as we have been defensively with guys like Dyson, Herb and Naji, none of them are making teams respect them from 3 so they’re starting to sag defenders off them to clog the paint on Z, which is what the Jazz did

Agreed with everything you posted but do want to point out that Dyson is shooting around 40% from three this season. The issue is that Willie takes him out far too often in crucial situation. DG was in over him in the 4th for no reason. Can't have that, especially when the Jazz were going big.

zion was excellent defensively last night - especially in the 4th and OT.

Dyson sat roughly the final 19 minutes of the game, zero minutes in the 4th and OT.

I have no idea why

before the season two starters were known by us to be weak perimeter defenders.

jv was known from last playoff v cp3 as his weakness vs pnr too.

I said get another big.
hayes did not rise to the occasion.

what can a coach do?
