Long term, is Casspi's thumbfoolery a good thing for us?

He was playing pretty well today in his limited time. He's basically going to miss the rest of the season. A season in which he's hardly played at all due to Sacramende's dumbassery. We get his Bird rights. If we operate over the cap, I think this helps us to sign him long term at a good price, taking a bit of a risk. I know that we've got a great Big 3 going forward, but it will still take risks to convert that from a Clippers-type success into an actual championship.
