2) it’s his job.
He’s watched Zion all year. Why did he only write this after Shaq said something?
So unoriginal. I can’t give this dude any credit for speaking up about this now.
this is some bullshite, 2nd rate reporting and y’all are just eating it up

Not really the first time he stated something like this before. He’s stated while back on podcast about the type of training and offseason workouts that Zion does doesn’t help him with his injuries. And you’re acting like the guy isn’t being fed information from the team as well. I’m not going to sit here defending Clark on all his views but no need for a player like Nance to publicly do what he did either.
The thing I’ll say is most reporters don’t leak this stuff even if they know because it could burn bridges between the team, players, etc. But I’m assuming Clark felt it was needed for the public to hear that information based on the performances we were seeing from Zion. And he probably knew he was going to get this type of reaction from players, team, etc. Its a balance of what to tell and what not to tell. And honestly on this viewpoint, I think Clark just reported what he heard from his sources.

Of course he did. Not only did he address something totally unoriginal, he drew up this dramatic this click bait title, too.
So I have no issue with Larry chirping back. This is sophomoric, piggy back bullshite. It’s one thing to be criticized by HOF’ers, but to hear some no name beat writer trying to gain clout from it is a totally different story. Jeff Duncan over here acting like he’s going to win a Pulitzer, when pelican coverage is basically a bunch of super blogging, out of state grifting assclowns.

Where is anything he stated in that tweet untrue or what everyone was already saying??? I can understand fans being upset if that FALSE click bait. But all if that is true and accurate. Its not just what pelican fans were thinking but basically everybody who watches basketball. What is he suppose to do just ignore what the national media said in regards to his horrific performance?? Come on man.

No one is above criticism when you make over 30m a year to stay in shape.
CC earns more respect for me for willing to actually report the news good or bad instead of dickriding the team to stay in the know.
We can pull up threads created on this very forum about the media not doing their jobs and asking the hard questions. When one guy does half of you immediately call him a clown or F Him, etc.
Who are the real clowns here?

Nothing in that tweet is untrue, controversial, or completely obvious. Zion is not in shape.

Why are we replying to LE? Come on now.
Love that Larry takes up for Zion.
Love that CC is willing to try and report the truth.
Disappointed that not a single reporter is digging into the real issue. Zion being out of shape had nothing to do with that Laker game, as we know he had 36 points against the best team in the west two days later. Ask the real questions?!? Zion, what did you do the night before the game? How do you have such a lack of control to blow the biggest game of your career to this point?

I appreciate the pelican coverage and the work these guys do, but when did becoming a feminine male become a prerequisite for covering basketball teams? That said, Larry needs to shut the frick up unless he wants to go after Steven a Smith. He’s the one on television randomly making up bullshite.

I know he has reported on Zion's weight before, that is not my issue.
I just think has used this opportunity to clout chase, using words and emphasis that he would not use if this was an original thought, say, on some random Wednesday in November after Zion did something fat and lazy.
Therefore I don't care that Larry took a shot at him. It's fair game. He probably didn't even read the article, just saw the bullshite headline that read like an opinion. When you use click-bait tone, expect click-bait replies.

Larry’s just sticking up for a teammate. He may have overreacted, but I can let that slide.
Zion is very aware of the criticism, and there’s been a ton of it.

Christian probably has the least amount of access out of anyone that’s on the beat. He just makes up these baseless articles for clicks.
Posted on 12/17/23 at 3:48 pm to Bonkers119
Lol you would know this how? You’re just making a baseless claim based upon absolutely no knowledge in regards to his access. Unless you can back up that he has the least amount of access- its your word (random poster) vs his (reporter hired to cover the pelicans). No offense but I’m choosing the actual reporter.

everybody is doing what they're supposed to be doing
Christian is a reporter. Reporters report.
Larry is a teammate. Teammates defend each other.
No harm, no foul.
