I’m taking this as a good sign. Working him back up to basketball shape

Good to hear, glad he's getting back on the court. So it was less than a year recovery for him. Seems like he got hurt 20-30 games into the season last year.

Asked Kira if he feels faster: “I’d have to say I feel faster cause I worked on things I haven’t worked on in my whole life. With therapy, you have to slow down and work on every part of your leg. … My movements feel more efficient. … I definitely feel faster.”

Hopefully he has more change of speed now too. His top line speed was already noticeably faster than everyone else on the court, so I don’t think faster helps as much as adding shiftiness.

I hope to God he's added shiftiness.

Would I bet on it? Hell no

Which beggars the question, what really constitutes shiftiness?

Let's hope so. He has a skill set that no one else else in the backcourt has and is a missing element on this team.

Hopefully he comes back and looks good and we dump Graham.

Kira's problem? Always been too fast for his own good. Needs to learn to downshift on occasion. Take advantage of getting a defender in jail...or "on his back" if you prefer. Fast is good...too fast...not so good. CP3 is slow as Christmas nowadays...but has perfected "downshifting". Kira could just use pure speed & go straight to the hoop & finish in college. Can't "finish" that way...in the NBA.

Hopefully, Kira has been working on this aspect of his game...PLUS...shooting the 3-ball with a whole lot more arc. His shot was flat as a pancake. We'll see...guess there's always a chance he can come on strong.

So he’s going to be even more out of control?

Kira was actually starting to play very well in the weeks leading up to his injury. He was in the verge of taking the starting job from Graham imo

Needs to be like Tyrese Maxey. He had his number in college.

This is a Louisiana message board. People will only remember the very worst memories they have of him and treat it like his final form.

I still have hope for him. The way his team mates and coaches talk about Kira has me excited. He was a lottery pick, so pelicans do see something in him.
