The fact remains he hasn't done a whole lot since his rookie year and may have regressed.

I'm on the fence about this one. He's a talented guy. Very athletic. Big. Can't shoot for shite.

8 mill seems like a lot for someone with no skins on the wall at all.

It's the type of move that will either crush a team's future, or make it.

A lot of people are using the term "regressed" about Evans, but no one is looking at his per 36 numbers. He is a consistent player in all aspects while his shooting continues to improve.

His PER in his minutes at PG has been above 20 every year with the highest coming last year. He's playing out of position.

I'd definitely offer him the 8 mil if we end up shipping Gordon out of here say w/ that rumored MKG package.

Gordon is making what, $14 mil next season? MKGs cap is only $4mil. Wouldn't that equate to something like $10 in savings to play with?

Then we draft McLemore and give him his very cap friendly rookie contract and can bring in Tyreke for 7-8 million and have them manning the 2 next year while adding a SF. I'm not opposed to that.

This

I think this would be the best course of action, I actually am in favor of the Marion deal, you take on $13M this year and get #13, I just dont see any other SF better than Marion available in FA, or worth a 3-4 year deal.
Burke
Tyreke Evans/KCP
MKG/Marion
Davis/Anderson
Lopez/Smith

No one sweats Jennings. Everyone thinks that Demps wants him though.

Man, am I reading this correctly? Some of the same fans who were so giddy about maxing out Gordon wouldn't want Tyreke Evans for 7 mil a year?
