Hayes just needs to work on simple things like finding his man to block out when a shot goes up. He played ok not horrible. The team can help him by letting him use his athleticism to its advantage. This team is not good, except Herb, about passing the ball ahead to advance the ball and drive pace. Pels must think Val or Billy was out there because they missed Hayes on at least 3 occasions when he had his man beat up the court.

He’s in his 3rd year in professional basketball. I’d imagine any member of this board that played basketball with a tiny amount of BBIQ could do that with his physical gifts.

What did you expect from Jax tonight? Dude played with the second unit on a depleted team that was already thin. Like do you expect Jax to go out there take dudes off the dribble create his own shot. Dude needs a pick and roll guard that can actually get in the lane we don't have that.

I don’t know.

Maybe don’t foul out in 15 minutes.

It's got to be in his head. He's like a lot of young players, he's got 15 little things going through his head on each play and misses the easy answer in front of him. It's also hard to play him if you don't use what he does well. He runs the court well.

Him to play poorly. He lived up to exactly what I expected of him. He made Wendell Carter, Jr. look like an All-Pro.

Meanwhile everybody's favorite backup went 1-11 from the field.

If fouling out in 15 minutes is the most you could expect from Jax in year 3, then that is all you need to know that he's a bust, and it just won't work out.

Naz Reid was in our own backyard and went undrafted the same year we reached for JAX with the eighth overall pick. Any thoughts on which of the two will have the more productive career?

Did y'all even watch the game most if not all of Jax fouls came because the guards can't keep anyone in front of them and get stuck on the hip of the other guards leaving Jax in between trying to guard 2. It's the same problem we always have with the drop coverage defense.

Yeah, I wished he could have played with the same guards on this team that JV and H'Gomez play with because I haven't seen either foul out in 15 minutes like JAX did tonight, huh? Where were those guards? TIC, of course.
