In hindsight, who did Griffin fleece more?

The lakers or Portland?
We obviously won both trades, and with the fall of the lakers we have even more gifts coming our way, but getting Nance as a throw in to CJ is pretty unbelievable

Lakers won a *championship so i'd lean to Portland.

Lakers and it's not close.
We could have ended up with:
BI
Hart
Lonzo
Garland
And whatever we get this year and moving forward.
That's two all stars and two good role players.

Lakers
Portland wanted salary relief and a pick. We gave them both which helped solidify them getting a high first this year.
Downside for them is that the pick from us is a future Bucks 1st rather than a 22 lottery pick.
The Lakers paid a king’s ransom and handcuffed their team long term to get a guy who refused to go anywhere else.
Pelinka could have gotten him for far less if LeBron and Jeannie Buss had been willing to roll the dice on saying “We’ll just sign him next year and pay you nothing.” Thankfully, organizational pressure for him to agree to Griffin pegging him.

at least losing Garland let us dump Solomon Hill

Got to give credit where it's due, this team is set up for sustained success

Easily the Lakers, since we essentially made the trade with Portland using the players/picks from the Lakers trade.

pels could not have taken nance in the trade without the TPE from the adams/JV/graham trade

Problem was they did exactly that with Mr LA, Paul George and look what happened. They couldn’t afford to get burned twice when the clock is ticking with Lebaby….
The answer is the Blazers. They will very likely get less compensation for CJ than what we got for Graham lol. And the pick is years from now.

You guys realise that the multiverse in which take Garland, also likely means no Trey or Herb
Choose A or B

Portland actually deserved that 1st
Now Charlotte has an undeserved 1st and OKC another undeserved lotto pick.
I don't like how that bit turned out

Yeah, that was similar to lsu winning it all in 2020.

Its Portland....at least the Lakers got a championship. Portland got nothing. Go watch some Portland fan videos. They are devastated. They don't even have our pick!

Did you just compare the bubbleship, Mickey Mouse arse ring to arguably the greatest season in college football?

Portland was basically just giving him away to get his salary off the books

Portland. Yes, they got cap relief but they could have gotten a lot more by trading CJ sooner. Similar to us with JJ and Lonzo.
We got lucky LeGM stepped in and made the trade for Westbrook instead of Derozan/Buddy.

No one views that as a real championship other than dumbass Lakers fans.

Until Pels win a ring , I can’t say Lakers. Not sure if I’d call Portland a fleece since they were trying to get rid of assets and CJ says he was “involved” in picking the team.
To answer question though, I’d say Portland.
