I never thought Zion would enter into the same stratosphere as Michael Thomas...

but when you look at the availability of both players over the past two years

Michael Thomas has played in about 30% of his regular season games over a two year span and Zion has played in 20% of his regular season games over the same timespan.

I've basically lost confidence that Zion will ever be something we can rely on to play bulk of the season. When you couple his absence along with Brandon Ingram's absence, there's no way this team can have sustained success. You can't have two of your best players out for most of the season.

We have a better chance at catching lightening in a bottle than building a sustainable contender, give the damn shot at lightening.

Zion hasn’t accomplished 1/4 of what MT has. It’s all promise with Zion. MT won OPOY and 2x first team all pro. What has zion done? Made a couple all star games and get hurt?

I would test the back room trade waters big time for Zion. I bet we could land a haul for him. I love him but he will never be available enough to sustain success

Zion is in his 4th season and has played in 38.26% of his games so far, that will continue to drop as the season goes on unless he returns.

MT played in 98.44% of the Saints' games in his first 4 years, the one he missed was in his first year, I don't think it was due to injury. Over his career, he played 64.04% of his games. In the last 4, he has played in 39.39%, still slightly higher than Zion, and Zion's percentage will decrease until (if) he returns.

Only difference is Zion wants to play and can't for one reason or another. Michael Thomas hasn't shown any indication of wanting to play football. He just wants to do his own thing and get paid.

one was a star on a pro championship team.

one has never been on a pro team that played for a championship. he's not like other non champs Barkley or k malone who at least played for championships and got beat.
