That chapter is over. More important to get the fan base fired up for next year and sell season tickets, IMO.

Oh, you can be sure that Stern still very much wants the Hornets to do well. Very much in the league's interest for the Hornets to get the top pick.

So, if the draft were held today, the Bobcats would have a 25% chance of getting the top pick, the Wizards would have a 20% chance, and the Hornets would have a 17% chance.
If we finish with the 3rd-worst record, then the Wolves would need to lose their way down to 7th-worst just for us to have as many combined chances as the Wizards.
By the way, for those of you fantasizing about us getting two of the top three picks, the chance of that happening is currently only 1.2%.

Like I said, the tank is dead. That R2 unit has a bad motivator. Benson wants to win so that he can sell tickets for next year.
