do we use the amnesty on Ariza if we make this trade happen?

No one on the Hornets roster is getting amnestied. As frustrating as his offense can be he is a key to the defense. Ariza is at least an adequate starter, especially if Demps picks up someone like Crawford to take shots away from him. Some of you act like he's James Poseyesque.

Okafor

Oak's a trade asset if we shop him to the right teams. This will be especially true once Nene and Chandler leave the market.

I repeat this in every thread, but I see flipping him to the Raptors for parts like Bargnani, their 2012 first, and/or the rights to Jonas Valanciunas.

Us, as Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo is Dell Demps' bitch.

I couldn't agree more. Every player on our roster is an asset, including Okafor and Ariza. Okafor is certainly overpaid, but so is every starting center past a rookie deal not named Dwight Howard. The cap hit on Ariza is under $8M. You aren't going to eat a $24M loss for that.

As everyone knows, we weren't the greatest offensive team. If we happen to get Curry and Thompson, we have two solid offensive guards. So having Ariza as a good defensive presence will be beneficial.
