Pelicans are listing Herb Jones (left ankle sprain) as probable for tomorrow’s game against Utah. Brandon Ingram (left big toe contusion) is still out.

Good to get Herb back

Have been told Brandon Ingram will be re-evaluated in a week. Experienced a small setback during his rehab process. Imaging is still clear. Team just being cautious with his return.

Glad for Herb, Jazz has sneaky amount of 3pt shooters and we need to be able to throw Herb/Dyson/Jose at them all.

It’s so fricking nice to not have to rush players back because we are comfortable without them. Get you your rest and come back 100% BI

yeah in prior years the board would be collectively losing its shite over every game ingram would be declared out because typically we're trying to dig out of a hole from our bad start

Good to get Herb back. He'll be needed for Utah.

In terms of Ingram, let him get his rest and hopefully he's back healthy as soon as possible.

Anyone have the defensive numbers for this lineup.

Jose
Dyson
Herb
Zion
Nance

It lacks some shooting but damn that would be a lethal defense

Can we ask wtf is up with BI’s toe? It’s listed as a “contusion”. That is some contusion.

Best I can tell, that lineup has never played together this season:

LINK

It only let me add 3 player filters, so those are every LU we've had with Jose/Herb/Dyson.

Basketball reference lineups net rating

Dont see that lineup on there but you can take a look and see how he does with different players. his best 2 man net is with Larry.

Dyson is like 10x better than when Herb got injured. Watching those two on the court at the same time will be defensive porn.

Toe injuries suck man. i’ve had inflammation in mine for 6 months and haven’t been able to run during any of it and i’m not much older than BI. hard to get good bloodflow that far away from the heart and it’s something you put pressure on on a daily basis

I have arthritis in my big toe(s) from years of playing soccer and it fricking sucks. I'd rather deal with knee/hip/muscle shite.

It takes forever to get better and goes right back to jacked up quick.

Dyson's rapid improvement is why I refuse to count him out...as an actual "starter" on our closing unit, come playoff crunch time. My closing lineup, although not OFFICIAL quite yet...is leaning heavily toward DD/Herb/BI/Zion and Nance.

I get the defensive potential, especially if you're protecting a lead, but BI and Zion are the only players with gravity in that lineup. If they're going to score they will need to move as much on offense as they do on defense. It feels like you need Trey instead of Herb or Dyson.

Any reason to be concerned that Ingram's toe could linger all year?

Not with this training staff. The one positive about their conservative nature is guys usually return healthy.

As longas you know there is 0.0% chance of this happening without a CJ injury

Totally understandable point of view. I must admit, I AM counting on offensive improvement by both Herb & DD by playoff time. Having said that, I do reserve the right to keep a possible spot open for a resurgent CJ or a fast-developing Trey at the small 5, the latter of which would be the best of all possible worlds.
