We all love Jose, but he didn't look comfortable last night against the bigger guards of OKC.
He played in the last two games against OKC in the regular season and he was 5-14 from the field for 13 points, 6 assists and turnover.

Naji was more of a difference maker last night than Jose.
And that happens. Sometimes it's Naji, sometimes it's Jose. It's a blessing to have two guys who come off the bench that can change a game real quick with their intensity.

I agree with all of that but from what I saw in Jose's minutes last night he just looked too small vs the Thunder.

He is smaller for sure and its a disadvantage but the other things he brings to the table this team desperately needs. When he increases the pace- this team scores, its fun, Trey and even CJ play well with him. Even his attitude is what you need to win games. Its tough to get Hawkins in because the two guys who are struggling are BI and CJ. Are we cutting their minutes for Hawkins? Probably not.

You’re not randomly playing a guy 2-3 minutes unless something’s going wrong

He isn't as scrappy as Jose so that give Jose the nod as long as Jose is hitting his shot.
Hawkins D isn't great and like someone said, OKC guys are big/thick, not sure how hawkins would do battling against them. Hawk needs to go eat with Z.

Except in his rookie year Trey became an important part of the rotation and played key minutes in the playoffs.

We also didn’t have anyone else that could play that type of role for us, earlier in that season Hart was that guy, but once he was traded Trey started slowly getting more and more of those minutes at the 4 and it continued into the playoffs.

Currently we don’t have the minutes to give to Hawk

He’s not ready yet, especially for playoff basketball. Jose, who is much better on the defensive end, actually has a better FG% and 3-point percentage, so there is no advantage there either. Future is bright though.
