Ajinca brings so much more than average rim protection and his contract is ridiculous. Not saying he's our long term starting center but get rid of asik's contract let AD and Ajinca swallow 30-35 min at center and sign another cheap decent center. Asik's money IMO will be used up to get a wing.

Ajinca would have 18 fouls/game if he played 35 minutes.

Stahhpp. Jinxie and Asik compliment each other well. We have plenty of guards/ wings

The last 3 games he's had 5 fouls in each game, averaging 19 minutes. He's averaging 6.2 per 36 this season. Ajinca has a fatal flaw and these threads are retarded until the day comes that he can get his fouls under control.

Pondexter and Cunningham are terrific bench options and would solidify our benches attitude and mentality. We need a true scoring and defensive wing to pay good $ and not somebody that brings 1 thing to the game and doesn't even bring it all the time. If Asik was doing his job we wouldn't be bottom of the barrel in rim protection.

I never said he's our starting or even long term guy I said let him and AD swallow up most of the minutes at that position. We have already been playing well lately playing small ball. Use asik's money to bring in a vet center and a scoring wing and have Pondexter and Cunningham off the bench with Reke and Anderson.

You wanted to play him 35 minutes per game which is literally impossible with how he fouls.

I said him and AD Jesus just read a little closer. AD is just going to get bigger and stronger. He will be able to handle the pounding and play 8-11 min at center especially last 4-5 min of game. Ajinca plays the rest and if anybody but withey or steimsma back up Ajinca when he's in foul trouble I'm satisfied.

Even if Ajinca could lower his foul rate he is not Asik...while Omer is not the best center in the league, pairing him next to AD makes way more sense than Ajinca

Asik may be overpaid but everyone is overpaid...especially centers

I think if we get a better defensive scheme you would better see the value Asik brings

In the first half Asik has 5/8 and Ajinca has 8/3. Both are playing well.

If he averages 6 fouls per 36 minutes. That would be an average of 4 fouls every 24 minutes. I could live with that. Just let him play until he fouls out.

I'm just sick of him getting abused like he is in this game. If the only thing you can do is defend then how are yuh getting abused so often?

Not being able to stop Dragic at full speed is not Asik getting abused, it's our perimeter defense getting abused. One thing I've found disappointing about Asik this season is he lets opposing centers get much deeper than he should considering his strengths.

I don't agree with "terrific" but they're solid bench options for sure.

What is Anincas contract situation?

And what could we get for him possibly is what I'm wondering. Yea the guy has a big time foul problem and I like him on this team, but I wonder what a team would give for him. In the starting role he puts up very good numbers.

He's an unrestricted free agent but we have Early Bird Rights on him meaning we have an exception up to the MLE to keep him. If we want him and he wants to be here it shouldn't be a problem.

It's hard to say what the cap escalation anticipation will do to the market, but in a normal market, I really don't think he'd be much different than Jason Smith who only got $2.5 million offers the 2 times he was on the market.

I see. Wasn't familiar with his contract situation like am with most of the others. Appreciate the info.

One thing is he's definitely increasing his value, and if we do keep him around he could be used as a decent trade piece if needed
