New Orleans Pelicans

Overall: 36
Title track: 77
Ownership: 54
Coaching: T68
Players: 48
Fan relations: 44
Affordability: 14
Stadium experience: 77
Bang for the buck: 34
Change from last year: +41

Let the good times roll, indeed. The Pelicans improved in every single category we track this year, cashing in on citywide optimism with a 160-spot climb across the board. And that's without winning a single game in their first-round playoff series against eventual champion Golden State. New Orleans, we salute you (and your optimism).

As I saw someone on PR point out, they are now only 3 spots behind the Saints.

How do you get an overall of 36 with so many scores 68+?

overall is our rank compared to every other team in the 4 major franchises. The lower the better.

NBA rankings:
1. Spurs (1 overall)
2. Grizzlies (2)
3. Thunder (7)
4. Pacers (13)
5. Warriors (16)
6. Heat (21)
7. Mavs (22)
8. Hawks (29)
9. LeBrons (34)
10. Rockets (35)
11. Pels (36)

I wonder if this is the highest we've ever been or if that one year after the Game 7 of the WC Semis when we had the new unis, our big 3 back, and picked to win the West by some experts if we were ranked higher. Obviously our ownership situation was more unsettled then (as well as our local TV situation).
