This is such a childish response. Really, really juvenile.

So you suppose a grown man is going to punch someone every time someone insults them in person? There would be a tidy little sum headed to the account of the guy lobbing insults if so.

Grow up.

And insulting via Twitter is mature?

Of course not. That's understood.

But, the "bet you won't say it to their face" statement is asinine.

it was tame. I wasn't cursing him out, threatening, etc.

If you are a multimillion dollar athlete who has not lived up to your contract, you should expect some criticism. The criticism I gave was tame. I would hate to see how this guy would deal with life if he had to live like 99.9999% of the rest of Americans.

That doesn't mean you welcome it.

If you had his life you wouldn't want to be bothered on Twitter either.

I'm not saying it's a giant burden on life but if you had the choice of dealing with it or not(blocking him) most people would just block him.

He probably has thousands of Twitter followers who are only there to tell him he sucks, that probably gets annoying.

get tough skin, and realize that if you have 1000s telling you you suck, you are being relegated to 6th man duty, playing on a max deal, and you have yet to embrace the city, you probably suck.

Here is a novel idea. Instead of blocking people on twitter because you don't want to hear from critics, why not EMBRACE the city, play up to your contract, or fricking opt out and go somewhere where you feel "loved". He made this damn bed, not the fans.

I'm not taking up for him, but you're really asking a bit much out of him at this point in the whole ordeal. What if he all of a sudden comes out and starts "embracing the city" ? The damage is too far done for him to save face.

and that damage was done by whom? I think he could have repaired the majority of the damage, but when you say the dumb shite he says, it makes it impossible. His latest comments about being a 6th man is unfortunately, par for the course with Sandy.

Not at this point. People who follow the team know what's going on. There isn't any coming back from this. Why should he want to win over the fans now when everyone hates him already?

I agree now, but had he tried to remedy this shite last season, it could have been repaired.

The best case scenario is he is willing to opt out if we trade him, thus creating an expiring. I don't care what the hell we get for him. I just want his arse out of NOLA, and I look forward to the day that he returns in a different uniform, so I can boo the shite out of him.

Yea, I bet he is certainly planning on doing whatever he can to help the team/city, since you guys on twitter are being so nice to him.

it would be best for him as well. Obviously he is not happy. Why not opt out in order to initiate a trade, work with the team so you land somewhere where you want to be, and ride out?
