Eatel dropped FSN last year in January.

NBA league pass blacks out the Pelicans when watching from a 70769 zip code IP address. Ridiculous.

Playstation Vue is $55 a month for the package that has FSN. Screw that noise.

I don't have an Xbox so I don't want sling.

How in the frick am I supposed to watch the games?

Pissing me off. First season in since 2010 I don't have all the games on TV.

I guess my only recourse is to pirate the streams.

I dropped Eatel and went with Direct Tv when they dropped FSN in January - Streams will always be there, just got to get lucky with their quality.

You're acting like you're paying $55 for FoxSports. What you're doing is paying $55 for most of what you're paying Eatel over $100 for. CBS is the only local PSVue has for now so if you want to watch the Saints you'll have to hook up an antenna. But I'd take saving over $50 a month and deal with the hassle of switching inputs before I spent the season watching crappy streams on my laptop.

Except I'm not. I clearly stated that the package that contains FSNOLA is $55 and not worth the money. I intend to keep some cable service because I have kids and want the DVR for their cartoons that we record and watch daily. So for me, Vue is essentially paying for FSNOLA, which is not worth it.

I just can't believe the NBA wont let me pay them directly for their product because I live where FS has all the viewing rights to my team. That is the most insane part.

PS Vue has a DVR. Sling might be able to get you FSNO cheaper but I think you'd have to get the $25 per month blue package.

The thing is that up until this new TV deal that went into effect last year, most teams made more money off of their local tv deals than the national deal. Not being able to get your team locally on league pass is because whether FoxSports is paying $12 million a year to the Pels or TimeWarner is paying $150 million a year to the Lakers, those local broadcasters expect exclusive broadcast rights in those markets.

In return those local broadcasters basically get a subsidy from the cable companies that bundle them with other channels. Because of that they are reluctant to sell directly to consumers which would be the better solution. I'd pay $5 a month for FoxSports, especially if it got me the Saints too. But we're probably a few years away from that at least.
