I don't know if it was Saturday or Sunday, but Brandon Ingram was in a fricking hot dog suit and this board dropped the ball and wasn't all over it hahaha

Looked like a nice event with a decent crowd.

I saw a clip of Zion doing a windmill and Jose with his kid, and that was about it

I haven't seen a single mention of BI being hurt in any way

Yeah, I looked and didn't see anything either. Honest Man, cite your sources.

Here's a clip of BI in a hotdog suit looking relatively uninjured.

Was big Zion chasing him around the arena trying to eat him?

I was there and was hoping it would be more than what it was as it only lasted an hour. Willie spoke to the crowd, they ran a couple drills, they all took half court shots, then TM3 had the microphone messing with the rookies in a couple games as they were all in hot dog costumes. It was nice to see the players signing autographs for the kids and interacting with the crowd during the event.

Went as well,

Love how Nance came over and was like either do the punishment or it’ll be worse. Also entire arena booed EJ for not participating enough

I went yesterday. Took the kids. Zion, BI, and CJ, Val, and Naji barely participated. Larry and Jose didn't participate but moved well. Zion attempted a monster backwards dunk that he missed then threw down a thunder windmill dunk the second time. BI and CJ went about half speed through a few of the drills. Hawkins jumps better than I thought.

Jake mentioned it on his pod this morning but BI was announced last, not Zion. I still don't understand why the organization puts him in that position instead of Zion. It just seems so forced. The crowd was louder for Zion and it just brings so much more energy. I said it last year that I hoped that wouldn't cause an issue but neither one of them ever played together so it didn't. There is no doubt that Zion is the better player when both are healthy. Not a big deal, just odd to me.

EJ might have been the worst rookie participant I have ever seen. He was angry from the beginning when he came out in his hot dog suit. Not a single smile. It was funny at first but really impacted the whole rookie segment of the practice. Would have been much more entertaining if he would have participated.

Overall, it was worth going. Good preseason event. Kids had fun. Willie sounds optimistic.

Kind of hard for the organization to market Zion as the guy when he's played 114 games in 4 years while lacking the maturity to rehab and eat properly. Zion will be the guy when he shows he's mature enough to be in that position.

It's clear why they were really quick to pull that face of the franchise moniker from him early on his career. He's going to have a lot to prove this year as a professional and a leader along with his availability.

Zion needs to play 60+ games and in a playoff series to get even a remote benefit of any doubt

Honestly, this is his last chance. With Ingram's contract extension coming up as well as Trey's, they're going to have to make some really tough decisions. Looking at Vassell's recent extension, Trey is likely going to get above 150.
