It's just two games but OKC and thr Spurs have to be feeling good about their rookies. Scoot has been pretty unimpressive so far.

Way way too soon to take much away from this but will be interesting to track.

I think Chet and Wemby are the better prospects but I'm concerned about their durability.

Okc may end up a top 4 seed. Just a bunch of talent

Scoot Henderson is no more interesting than Scoot in the Morning was on WWL radio. We didn’t draft Henderson and he plays for somebody else

It’s hard to think about we were two picks away from Devin Vassell and one pick away from Tyrese Haliburton in 2020.

An above-the-rim athlete, like Scoot, with no 3 pt shot, will likely have durability question marks as well over the next 3 years always driving hard inside.

but OKC

I don't consider Holmgren a rookie. He spent a whole year with the team. It's a shame he got injured. But he still got paid. They need to change that rule.

It made sense for a guy like David Robinson, who was doing military service. But not for guys like Ben Simmons and Blake Griffin, who were 'injured' their first season..

Got a feelin' the Hornets were wise to take Brandon Miller ahead of Scoot. Maybe we shoulda tried to trade "somebody" for Miller instead of Scoot.

It’s pretty amazing to see what OKC has done the last few seasons, to have that talent and an actual WAR CHEST, they are going to be tough for a while. And Wemby is just a frickin cheat code. The West is going to be so god damn tough this year.

Scoot’s going to be very good. It’s harder to play point guard than Center. Chet also is in his 2nd year, so while he didn’t play last year, he was still learning.

Portland also has a lot of young talented guards right now. Makes it a bit complicated in terms of on ball time and pecking order.

I agree. There is a designated pecking order in OKC with Chet being the 4th-5th option offensively at the moment. Whereas Scoot is being asked to lead the team as a rook. Couple that with having to other guys that want to be in the ball in Sharpe and Simons, and the learning curve is going to be much steeper for Scoot.

They have a coaching issue. The roster has a lot of talent and vets. Ayton, Grant, Simons, Brogdon, and Sharpe is a lot of offense. Scoot clearly is having a rough adjustment to the league. That's why I never put any real stock into gleague games. They are terrible scouting film because those games are meaningless.

I don’t know man. I’ve seen both games- his athleticism is not really setting him apart and he has absolutely no form of a reliable jumper. He can improve the jumper but whats concerning is against NBA starters hes just not separating himself to get to the rim. He’ll get better with the fouls and turnovers. But he’s not even showing flashes that his athleticism is much better than others. To me that what separated Ja and Westbrook from others. I don’t think talent on a team should matter as much. If your the number 3 pick, you should automatically shine due to your talent.

Scoot and Jaden Ivey are two athletic guys that aren't living up to their billing

Is it just me, or are those 2 not comparable at all in terms of athleticism?

Agreed Ivey is much better athletically and he wasn’t horrible his rookie season, he showed flashes. Monty doesn’t like him because he sucks on defense but even off the bench he scored 18 last night. To me I can see Ivey developing if he get out of detroit and Monty. Scoot to me hasn’t shown me that burst that Ivey has- again thats what worries me the most about him.

I don't know if Scoot is going to be very good.
I doubt he will have a good FT% and 3% one day. I don't think he will be good on defense either.
I think he will be good that said.
