If you don't know, I review a bunch of shite for the F&DB. I'm a season ticket holder for the past 7-8 yrs.

Last night I attempted to see if anything was new. It was my first game this year. I was impressed with the renovations, and the white walls make the space look larger.

The free beer location was improved, and I was shocked to discover you could bring one beer in. The Happy Hour special was also nice, but it didn't apply to me since I drink the doubles.

I walked around and wanted to first try Geaux Mac (different macs and cheese) and Nola Libre (tacos and burritos). As par for the course, both were closed during a mid-week game. I'll review these later.

I decided to try BBQ. I got the wings and nachos. The wings were "smoked" and the nachos came with pulled pork.

The wings were big and tasty. I wouldn't call them smoked though, since they were covered in a bbq flavor sauce. The were filling, and I'll order them again.

The nachos were mediocre. The pork was good, but they only came with shredded cheese on top. I asked them to put some queso on it, since they were using queso for something else in the booth.

Both products were not hot. The queso became very cold as soon as I sat down. It could have been due to the air conditioning I mentioned in my previous thread.

If I want nachos again, I'll stick to the traditional ones.

here are some of my go-to's:

-johnny sanchez
-slice
-mopho
-borgne
-juan's
-dat dog

any other suggestions welcome, either near the blender or easy access on the way home to the west

I know this. I work across the river and it's difficult to get there in time. I tried to go to Borgne for some quick oysters, but they were packed.

Went before the Orlando game and it's great. It's more Authentic than Tex Mex (I don't think I saw fajitas on the menu, and pepper based salsa rather than tomato based) and worth checking out.

If I'm not mistaken, they normally put the queso under those chips instead of on top.

That's a long trek from all locations to the SKC

My gripe with the SKC is that I was unable to find any onions or relish to put on my hot dog that has a cup $2.50 chili on top of it. The Dome has onions with all the other condiments

where is the new beer garden? I showed up 5 minutes before the game, went to borgne. And when you say bring one beer in, you mean into the arena and what happy hour specials? Couldn't find anything online.

From the beer garden. You get two free beers.

I think it was $5 beer, some wine special and soft drinks/water specials. It ends around tip off. I sit next to the Perch. That's where I saw the specials.

I split mine among 5 people. It works best for all involved b/c we can't commit to all the games. If I want more tickets, we'll order them through our rep or stubhub.

eta...plus when the pels make the playoffs this year, you get dibs on tickets.
