Will have two young kids in tow for tomorrow night's game.. Any chance an Uber will pick us up after the game? Thinking about walking to the Hyatt and trying to get a ride from there..

Anyone have better ideas?

Thank you in advance

Not sure how far they can walk, but the best bet would be to walk down Girod to the other side of Loyola and try to get one there or go to Poydras by Dave and Buster’s.

Not sure how much Uber’s are after the game either, a cab might be a good bit cheaper if you can find one.

Honestly an Uber shouldn’t be difficult. If weather is favorable, maybe take a pedicab with them. It will cost about $40, but they’ll enjoy it.

Thanks

I've done the walk with just the wife and she acted like we were walking through the 9th Ward.. so I can't even imagine the whining with the kids with us

I think your plan to catch a ride from Hyatt is fine. I don't think you'll have any problem getting a ride quickly and if there is a problem you can safely wait in the lobby.

Uber, or pedicab.

The walk down Girod to Convention Center Blvd is totally safe other than some potholes around Rouses. It's prob 25 min walk though depending on kid's ages and weather. If they're too young, I personally would cross Loyola to a hotel like the Ace or Virgin to wait for a cab in the lobby since there will be traffic on Loyola, and take a pedicab if you see one on the way which the kids will like.

There is a designated area at the SKC for Uber and cabs.

Or if you don't mind the walk, Baronne by Rouses is one of my go to spots for an Uber.

Swooped a pedicab right outside the exit .. reasonably priced and nice guy. Kids said it was the best part of the night..

Thanks all for the suggestions

I think we were behind you if you left during the 4th period

Yep. I threatened to leave in the 2nd, and a couple more times in the 3rd, and finally got approval to storm out in the 4th
