In my humble opinion, we should wait until we're 20 games in before making a judgment about the team and its prospects. I know that may sound like a "homer" cop out, but I think it's realistic. I also think that number tends to be a measuring stick for a lot of serious analysts (no link, but I think it's true).

Caveat: I reserve the right to modify that statement if we are at, say, 1 and 10.

1st quarter of the season is fair enough for judgement. We've lost to 2 good teams and beat a bad one. Not like we're 0-3.

lost a tough home game to a top 4 (maybe to 3) seed and a road game to a top 5 or 6 seed. i'm not worried at all yet. tomorrow night is also a back to back, and regardless of it being at home, that's a tough game for anyone.

in january if they are below .500, i'll worry.

We've only played three games. How many games are in an NBA season?

People need to chill out. This isn't football. It's a long season.

While obviously it is fair to say to wait 20 games, but...does this team look the same as all the other Monty teams, or do y'all see potential for significant improvement?

Sure, three games ain't squat, but if we still look the same now as last season, umm, I'm hoping Monty has an epiphany soon.

Did y'all know Monty is like the 3rd or 4th most tenured coach in the NBA

In what fricking universe should that be something that's true?

Well a lot of this has to do with the extension he got a year in or so. But yeah, that is crazy.

Every fricking year we hear give Monty a few games its early in the season. Next thing you know itd late in season and we are making him excuses again. Im so tired of this guy getting shot after shot and people just keep saying more time. We know how this all ends...but more time

We should be back at .500 after the game tonight so things should calm down some. The Pelicans lost to two tough division teams, not Philly or Orlando. Eventually they need to win these games, especially ones where they lead in the second half.

It's amazing how other teams even with injuries tend to improve. We stay the same every year and it just hey he needs more time.

We need to find us some nerdy little white guy who's obsessed with basketball and has innovative ideas.
