Anyone else notice once Adams went to the bench in the 4th we couldn't make a shot?

I get we wanted shooters out there but we needed the big guy in in that crucial spot.

All the shooters in the world don't mean shite of they can't set proper screens for each other, much less make a damn shot.

The spacing and shooting tend to be much better with Adams in than out.

No I didn’t. Because they weren’t making shots before he went to the bench. They were 2 for 9 on their field goals before Adams sat down with 5:50 left in the fourth.

And even worse after he sat.

4 for 11 and 3 FTAs(without Adams) vs 2 of 9 and 2 FTAs (with Adams) but okay.

The issue of the fourth quarter with him on the court or off the court was turnovers.

The greatest screens in the history of the game don’t mean shite if the guys that are asked to hit shots off them can’t.

That was one of the big problems today.

We’d run actions/screens and Miami would swarm Ingram and Zion, keep Bradley in Reddick’s hip, and none of our other players could make them pay for selling out to stop those three.

These two games are giving a blueprint for how to slow our offense and for sure a lot of teams won’t be able to replicate what arguably one of the best coached and best defensive teams in the league can execute successfully, but we need guys not named Ingram/Zion/Reddick to step up and be consistent on offense.

I mean all it would have taken for a win today is our starting guards going 44% from the field instead of 22%, and 34% from three instead of 21%...Then just had one of our back up bigs hit a single fricking shot, just one, not even two, just one two pointer lol.

Can't really argue most of that, but Redick was also downright terrible on offense and didn't do too well on defense either.

In an attempt to overly space with 3 point shooters we cost ourselves on defense.

But the lack of one quality reserve big is also an albatross that will sink us against the better teams, and that's exactly what happened today (along with the shite shooting).

I'm looking at the play by play and it's 2 for 8 with Adams, but the bigger issue was 3 turnovers by Bledsoe. He fricking killed us early in the 4th.

I guess I was also thinking about the end of the 3rd run when Adams came back in because we hit 3 of 4 shots with a fta in under 2 minutes. That would be 5 for 12 and 3 ftas combined with his run in the 4th.

But again Bledsoe had at least 1 turnover late in the 3rd too.

So we definitely need to get that bullshite under control. Way too many late turnovers combined with poor shooting definitely cost us the game.

Everyone just looked way too timid once Adams left the floor and I guess that's what stuck out too. No one wanted to miss and they would keep dumping it off with 2 or 3 seconds left.
