I don't really see a ton of open looks there, just a well oiled machine. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I also see a lot of off ball movement which makes me happy. Hopefully we won't ever see Stiemsma/Asik near the arc as a spacer again.

The main thing I like is that it seems to emphasize the corner 3 which is usually the most efficient shot in the game.

Doesn't seem to be much true posting up low. Really spread out. I can see AD having fun.

Yeah, they were all "I got a 1 step lead on my defender" open, not "the defense left me and we swung the ball faster than they could recover" open.

David Fisher tweeted out this play highlight being perfect for Tyreke and he's completely right, would be perfect for Tyreke.

Imagine the Pelicans running Elbow Cyclone with Tyreke Evans receiving the handoff. LINK

For those that can't youtube, a guard makes a short pass to the center at the elbow. The guard that made the pass then runs his man forward enough that the center, his defender, guard and his defender are essentially creating a 4 person screen that a wing uses to take a handoff from the center and run down a wide open lane.

I'd say that's a good thing considering the pels don't have a post up player who can get to his spot in traffic. Davis has to beat his man to his spot to be effective in the post, plus he doesn't yet have a back to the basket go-to post move and shot.

I still think they need a post player who can play with and without Davis

There aren't that many to begin with and you certainly aren't going to get a starting caliber one (which are most of the ones coming to mind). Ajinca honestly might be the best solution to this. Maybe Erman can get his fouling under control, Curry credits Erman with improving his defensive technique.

I would get angry every time I saw that. It's like the purpose of the offense, from that to Tyreke taking 7.9 seconds to cross half court, was to waste as much time as possible.
