Meniscus?

That's what I think. He's already torn one so he would know exactly what it feels like.

Honestly I hope it’s some sort of ligament injury. Not an ACL but maybe a strain or a partially torn meniscus.

Otherwise him sitting with a bruised finger last Friday and then coming out tonight is going to be hard to stomach. How could we not say he’s soft if he doesn’t have a legit injury this time?

Sore leg? A sore leg doesn’t knock out an elite athlete.

Most his major injuries have been noncontact which tells you he needs to do something to change his body composition.

“Soft” looked to be the injury

Soft? Its not being soft. Or being fat. At this point, he will never be in MUCH better shape than he is now. If he can't go he is never going to be able to go. At least for a long enough time to be any more than a sideshow. Too bad the Harlem Globetrotters aren't a thing anymore. We can't have players that are injured half the season for 4years in a row over and over again. As much as I wish Zion could be healthy he just can't do it.

Eh, looked like it could have been a strained quad. That's an injury you sometimes feel when you land and flex your leg...

It’s def not an ACL. It’s like a groin or something. There just isn’t enough movement when he got hurt to suggest a serious non contact injury.

It actually looks like the initial injury was before he drove to the basket.

If that's the case, it wasn't an ACL. You don't tear your ACL then continue to drive to the basket. Then calmly walk off the court, sit down, throw a towel and briskly walk back to the locker room. It was some sort of muscle strain most likely. Either way, very unlikely he plays Friday if he needs imaging to determine the extent of the injury.

Looks like it’s more his foot or calf than knee tbh

I honestly think its strained calf- similar to what Giannis has. Even with that probably done for season unless we miraculously make the second round.

LINK to video of your still shot

It's not an ACL. He still made lateral movements after that still frame to both score the bucket and run back up the court before the timeout. That would be physically impossible to do with a torn ACL.

I’ve seen athletes move the exact way he did after ACL injuries. but I will admit that I was wrong based on reports that it is his hamstring. He sure didn’t act the way I would expect with a hamstring pull that would cause him to immediately take himself out the game.

What ACL injuries have you seen where the player didn't immediately stop playing? That would seem exceedingly rare to me. While players frequently get up and walk away from complete ACL tears since you don't need your ACL to walk straight, they almost always double over in pain for a few moments.
