Thought I'd give some fresh thoughts on the trade possibilities out there right now.

EG for Luol Deng straight up.
Deng is always on the trade block. Bulls have Jimmy Butler who can play SF and is probably more of a backup/3'sandD guy at SG anyway plus they are really high on Tony Snell at SF going forward. Further Deng is right in his prime at 28 and i kinda think he might be immortal.

EG for Varejao + Waiters.
The Waiters trade train is officially leaving the station. Waiters is only 21 and could be a very capable backup to Tyreke the freak. Plus he hasn't missed 97 games the past two seasons like EG. Varejao obviously stops the bleeding at C and balances C minutes w/ AD

EG + Austin Rivers for Pau Gasol + Jodie Meeks.
Pau is on an expiring contract and word on the street is he's going to the highest bidder/contender next summer, which could free up some major cap space for a healthy free agent run in 2014. Jodie is a capable backup SG to Tyreke and a shooter which the second line needs to survive. Plus who doesn't want to see Gasol and Davis run the Triangle. OMFG that would be amazing. Further I think Kobe and EG can play together, EG is much smaller than Kobe and Kobe takes the SF defensive assignment often already or EG could just run combo point guard for them.

EG for Kendrick Perkins + Jeremy Lamb + Perry Jones III.
Kendrick plays center and bodies up the Dwight of the world so AD can get more offensive touches. Lambs gonna be a player but is young so he develops behind tyreke. Perry Jones is just a throw in, who the hell knows if he's any good? Plus now the Thunder have a new big 3 of Russell-EG-Durant and can play the small ball lineup they've been needing to play for years with Ibaka at the 5 and Durant at the 4.

I could be down for this, if I thought he could stay healthy

Meh, no thanks. Gasol does nothing for our roster, and Meeks is pretty average

OKC would never give up that much for Gordon. He's not worth that, not with his contract, his health, and his mediocrity.

A) Trade threads spark discussion
B) Trade threads make you plebeians voice your true opinions on players so when you decide to voice duplicitous opinions, then everyone can call BS
C) Maybe I just want the Pelicans to be the best version of the Pelicans they can be.

You are severely overvaluing a below league average/one way center, a backup SG who no doubt has potential but is not at all there yet, and a SF whose ceiling in James Posey

Who the frick is EJ?

Look at this plebeian. Says he roots for the Pelicans and wants them to be the best they can be, but he doesn't even know who EJ is.

I think we should just sign Michael Jordan and play him at the 5.
