Why do so many people here like crappy music?

It's seriously like 80% of the people that post here stopped listening to new music around 1995. Probably the worst music forum I've ever seen.
ETA: What's with all the jam band love on here? Jam bands are the worst bands on the planet.

So what are you asking? Why do so many people here not listen to good music? Or why do so many people here not listen to new music? Those are hardly the same question.
