Don’t remember Slick’s, but I did see Lightnin Hopkins at Jay’s in Cankton.

I remember hearing radio ads all the time for Curl's (sp?) in Mansura. Never went, I was too young.

Slicks was rocking for a long time. Somehow I never made one of those (too young to "legally" get in for a lot) but I could have made a few. Seems like Zebra was there once a month 
I remember the Texas Club in BR in the late 70s and/or early 80s had a ton of good acts come through there as well.

Yep. Remember it well. Saw most of the shows on your list. Peter Frampton also played at Slick's during 1980 or 1981.
