There was a kid on our street that was friends with my little brother named Dwayne. I still can't hear "Blame it on the Rain" and not think of the version we would sing about him(he was always getting my brother in trouble)

Were you the only white kids on the street back then?
Their hit songs were great pop music. Who cares who really sang them, right?

Nah our block was still like 50/50 then. By the time I graduated HS most of the other white families had moved away though.

It beats the hell out of 1985 everyone had We Are The World as their Senior song. (oh, as a side note I did not vote for it.)

The entire Smashing Pumpkins Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness album honestly reminds me of my senior year.

Right. I can remember some white kids living in the hood in the late 80s, maybe late as 90-92 when I first started driving. But not long after that.
I used to have this friend in HS named Walter. We met by chance at Don Carters one weekend. Nice kid but man he had a troubled life. Lived in Mall City with his tramp mama who was never around.
He introduced us Woodlawn kids to Night Train and Thunderbird. Same price as Boones Farm but twice as strong!

That woman might not be the best looking country singer, but she sure as hell is extremely sexy.

I'm a class ahead of you I believe.
Disarm by the Punkins takes me back to Freshman year at LSU. I can smell the old classrooms and the funk of Snorkels and Sports(JL's and Reggies i think now).

That brings back memories. Getting a friends older sister that worked on the mall to buy it for us at the K&B. oh to go back in time.

You talking about that one by Monterrey by Cortana in BR? Man o man we stole so much Cisco and Thunderbird from that store. We were so trashy. But it was too easy not too. Booze at the far back with ONE clerk in whole store and no cameras back then. Shame on me.
