now hendrix played in soul bands
joined the army too

called the psychedelic blues
and the guitar was a compass
in his wizard hands
he took us to strange places like

sly stone was a stone cold freak
raised on gospel songs
but when he got high on funk and skunk
he took us all along
the family stone was black and white
other colors, too
he stormed the walls of ignorance
his music busted through

The melody is similar to the Seeds' "Pushin' Too Hard." It's an acoustic guitar/harmonica song that comes in a little over two minutes. Lots of fun to play.
