Vintage speakers with new receiver head units

About to come into ownership of some pretty sweet Klipsch Heresy II speakers. Example
I need to upgrade my receiver, as it is a 12 year old Sony unit that's pretty primal compared to today's stuff. Also, I doubt it puts out enough power to get the most out of the speakers.
Has anyone ever had problems or noticed a decrease in audio quality if they run new digital receivers and outputs through older speakers? Any recommendations for receivers that won't completely break my bank, but will still preform well and won't be outdated a few years down the line?
tia.

Yamaha R-S500BL Receiver is reasonably priced and has worked very well for me. You can hook damn near anything up to it

The audio will always only be as good as the speakers. Age doesn't have a lot to do with it. My uncle has some some 30 year old Savard speakers that still sound fantastic.

Those speakers are 8 ohm with a sensitivity of 97dB. They shouldn't be too hard to drive to a decent volume without clipping with modest power.
Congrats on the speakers.

Correct.
Klipsch speakers are horns, which are extremely efficient. That means that you should be able to easily drive them with 20-30 watts of power--easily.

I second the Yamaha that JTS recommends.

What is your budget?
I can find you a few great things to drive those K-horns...

It will be probably in the $500 neighborhood. With the speakers, I will be getting a Denon DRA-395.
The only problem is that the Denon doesn't have HDMI, which I assume will limit its compatibility with newer TVs and Blu Ray players.

I own 5 Heresy II, a pair of La Scala & lots of other Klipsch speakers, among others.
You should have the networks recapped, due to age they are prolly out of spec.
Recommend Bob Crites for the job. He can do the work or sell you kits to DiY. Easy to find him with Google search...
