i only know of 2, but yes, these were in the 90s.

Everyone knows Voices Carry, but Coming Up Close is a better song. No idea if it was a hit, but I listened to it way more than VC. I really should listen to more Aimee Mann.

If you've never heard it you must have had on ear muffs throughout the spring of 1987.

First thing I remember ever hearing by Fine Young Cannibals was their version of "Ever Fallen In Love". MTV used to play the hell out of that. I'm shocked that it apparently didn't make a dent in the US charts.
