What is it then?

FWIW Bela Fleck plays on the Phish studio versions of Lifeboy and Scent of a Mule. He also sat in on a sick Llama sometime in '94.

It's not true bluegrass. I think having a drummer disqualifies you from that genre. Railroad earth gets a pass.

Leftover Salmon is pretty badass. I saw them at the varsity around 2003. Although they call label themselves cajun slamgrass

I meant more their change in style to the dubstep crap they have been playing recently.

But you are correct. True bluegrass doesnt have a drummer.

Bela fleck is better than all of that shite

Heard this dude and the flecktones for the first time, live, when I was like 22 at the House of Blues. Mind blown. I made everyone get my beer and didn't piss the entire show. It was that f'n good. I've loved his music ever since.

Cheese has been leaning more toward the EOTO stuff, but they have teased a "GrassTronica" blend that is quite interesting

Not necessarily true. No doubt they play that EOTO crap but they usually throw in some grass 1st set before the sun goes down. Especially on bluegrass sunday of a 3 day run. Their whole first set at electric forest a couple years ago was bluegrass and had a bunch of people sit in
