Clint, I usually like your suggestions here.... You are a different dude and Im on board but I for one will never understand the Creed hate. I know Scott is a douchebag but overall, I enjoyed their music Sometimes you just dont get what others hate. This is one for me. They are not my favorite or anything but I dont see them any where near the top worst even in the grunge era... Some great songs to me

If Stapp would have had a less punchable face you’d never hear a back thing about Creed.

Every member of the Beatles have had more talented bowel movements than what Zeppelin or Floyd ever possessed.

No member of the Beatles can pull off riffs like the Comfortably Numb solo, or write anything with the compositional depth of DSOTM.

Davie504 says it right here. McCartney doesn’t have the chops to be an all time great bassist:

John Paul Jones is much better at bass than Paul McCartney

Jon Bonham is miles better than Ringo Starr

Jimmy Page is a better technical player than George Harrison, but it could be argued that Harrison is significantly more creative and tasteful. Similar arguments could be made for Robert Plant vs John Lennon.

You beat me to it. Ringo is not on the same planet as John Bonham.

You’d have to be completely ignorant of all things guitar to compare George Harrison to David Gilmour.

the Comfortably Numb solo
not that hard to do, and I believe George would've been capable.

And I like floyd more than the Beatles

Hell, Dimebag was better than all those guys put together on guitar. But was Pantera a better band than LZ or Beatles? (To me yes, but I know yall won't agree)

why does he sing like that? The fact that he seems full of himself is hilarious.

He also talks like that so that probably has something to do with it

No band has been able to topple the Beatles as the greatest band ever. 50 years of trying.

Overrated.

The Beatles were only together as a group for roughly 9 years but had 20 #1 hits.

They have sold more records than the Stones & Led Zepplin combined.

John Lennon, Paul McCartney & George Harrison all had multiple #1 albums as solo artists. Even Ringo had 2 #1 singles. None of the members of great bands like the Stones, Led Zepplin or Pink Floyd had any success as solo artists.

Google "Greatest Rock Bands of All Time" and 99% of the time The Beatles are #1.

Maybe you don't like them but if you think their "Overrated" you're obviously in the minority.

Both are great bass players. I've looked at numerous polls on "Top Rock Bassist of All Time" and both are usually in the top 10, each ranking higher than the other in different polls. IMO, McCartney is overall much more talented due to his song writing, vocals, piano and lead/rhythm guitar abilities. Any musician will tell you it is more difficult to be the lead singer on a song while playing bass. He played every instrument on his first solo album (McCartney). JPJ may be better but "much better" is a stretch.

I’m not sure this is accurate. I have been a guitarist for years, but I don’t find singing while playing bass to be any more challenging than singing while playing guitar.

All of those boomer eagle 98.1 bands are overrated. Plus it’s not hard to sell records when there are only 3 bands in the world

The two greatest bands of all time are neutral milk hotel and the oak ridge boys before they went gospel and there’s no debating that

Not to derail the thread, but have you recorded on your new setup yet?
..and the two best bands ever are New Grass Revival and
The Amazing Rhythm Aces.
I'll probably have a different opinion by lunchtime though.

I agree with # 1 .
While I may not be huge fans of 2, 3 and 4 , there’s plenty of bands out there worse than them.

Look at the video I linked above. Davie explains exactly why PM doesn’t have the chops to be in the top 10.
