Those of us that braved the elements were rewarded, bigly.. one of the best rock & roll shows I've seen. Their sound was clean and crisp.. the energy was electric and Petty sounded great. If you've never seen them, I recommend you do so while you still can

Agreed it was a great show.....only minus was no waiting is the hardest part, and lack of New Orleans standard the headliners usually play, but all in all a solid A

I know this isn't popular but his music is just so damned boring.

Saw him last week in Little Rock. Great show. Looks like he only played 1 or 2 fewer songs at jazz fest.

He still rocks man

Agreed. Nothing understood the appeal.

Respectfully disagree. Trey Anastasio and Phish is one that I will really never understand the appeal of.

I like his first album and Damn The Torpedoes has its moments, but other than that, meh.

his show was a snoozefest!

we must have been at different shows. Even the people around me that saw him multiple times said that it was a snoozefest.

I like TP, but I can live with never having seen him in concert.

I've seen him multiple times and thought last night was pretty good, not the best i've ever seen him but definitely worth it. Good songbook and their guitarist was on yesterday.

The guitarist is the whole reason his band rocks. That blues song they played about halfway through it was the highlight for me and I love Refugee. A couple other big ones mixed in well with some songs i'm not too familiar with.

That's Mike Campbell. He's a bad mofo and also produces all of TP's music.

Tom Petty's amazing. Even when his music got more poppy, it was still great.
