I'm going to hijack this thread and say that JRAD killed in Oakland this past Saturday night. Bob Weir came out and played a short acoustic set with them that didn't suck. Next show for me will be the Ryman in January.

I was hoping for an all out assault reissue HQ vinyl pressing of Cornell '77...the 40th anniversary!!

Maybe will be a 2017 announcement...

I had heard that as well--we probably will see it. Hopefully it won't be limited to just 7700 as there will be a huge demand for that one.

I am usually in the first 3 people in line at Euclid Records in NOLA for Record Store Day, so if they chose to release it this way, I should get a copy of it.

they did 7/78 box with a separate wide release of 7/8/78
I'm guessing they do similar with 5/77

Are you talking about vinyl only? Because they already released that 5/77 box set with 5.11, 5.12, 5.13, 5.15 and 5.17. That Tuscaloosa show is up there with Cornell and Colgate as my top '77 shows.

5/5, 5/7, 5/8, 5/9 are recently returned to the vault thru the good work of rob eaton (DSO). they now have restored copies of the master soundboards of those shows, and the guess is they'll do another mini-box like they did last year with 7/78 of those 4 shows and also release 5/8 barton hall as a single show wide release like they did with 7/8/78

or they could do a larger box and include the palladium shows. either way it seems likely that for the 40th anniversary we will get barton hall plus more spring 77

fall '77 is the best '77

BTW the april 73 release (DaP21) sold out in one day. also lemieux hinted in the release video that a major announcement is coming in next few months...
