A heads up, there are some really good seats on stubhub for cheap. Bummed I'm missing it, silversun are great live and I've always wanted to see TEB.

They were awesome. Couldn't believe how great the lead singer was. True talent and sounds the same as the recorded version.

Asked my buddy there about SSP because that was the only thing I cared about and couldn't make it last minute. He hated them.

I guess that's because he didn't realize Brian Aubert was a man.

That is funny. I have noticed that people either love or hate Silversun Pickups. There is no in between. I personally love them.

I mean they were good. I'm not really a big fan of Silversun though, I know just a couple of songs. I also had no idea the lead singer was a guy until I got there lol.

Yeah same here. In FLA they actually had an opening band for the pickups who were maybe the best of all 3. Pickups lead singer sounds eerily simiar to billy corgan but like, not in a good way.

Silversun Pickups was solid, if unspectacular. Their energy was a little inconsistent, but their sound was crisp. Overall a nice appetizer.

3EB was excellent. I saw them in a festival setting over a decade ago, and Jenkins' voice was total garbage. Awful. He has obviously taken steps to improve his live delivery, whether lifestyle changes, vocal coach, etc.

With that said, his voice was spot on the entire show, and his energy was high to start and never dwindled. His current backing musicians are capable but basically window dressing for his performance, which was augmented by a cool stage setup and lighting display.

They played their debut, self-titled album in its entirety - what an underrated gem of 90s pop rock. Jenkins is a great songwriter and lyricist, which I think is undeniable whether you like 3EB or not. Jenkins obviously still loves those songs, because he was engaged and enthusiastic the entire time.

I actually preferred this show to their HOB appearance a few years back. All in all, a very enjoyable show, aside from the $9 beers (of which I had many).
