Loaded is brilliant.
You can listen to the whole thing on youtube.
Loaded

Youtube also has full album streams of a few others, including the one you just bought.

I just learned of the recent death of guitarist Dick Wagner:

RollingStone.com
quote:

Dick Wagner, who played guitar with Alice Cooper, Lou Reed and on records by Kiss and Aerosmith at various points in his career, died on July 30th after being hospitalized in Scottsdale, Arizona for respiratory failure. Two weeks earlier, he had undergone a cardiac procedure, according to Detroit Free Press. He was 71.
This was an AOR staple back in the day

Lou Reed - "Sweet Jane" (live version from Rock n Roll Animal, 1973)

Warning: this ain't your mommy's mellow Sweet Jane!

Good choice. You'll probably hate White Light/White Heat because it's almost total noise. VU III is very quiet and has some nice songs on it, but it's so laid-back that you'll hardly be able to believe it's the same band.

Loaded is.....wellll...it's GOOD.....but it's really Lou's first solo album.

"Up to Lexington and one two five....feel sick and dirty, more dead than alive....iiiiiiii'm waitin' for my man". In 1965. Dayum.

One of my Top 5 bands of all time. White Light/White Heat is my favorite album by VU, very raw distorted sound, which some have referred to as "the first heavy metal record". Luckily there are a bunch of live bootlegs, and some have seen regular release. My biggest regret was peeling the cover on my copy of their first album!
